How hot is it?

I'm not sure who is to blame. Maybe it's impossible to figure out, like the chicken vs. the egg debate.
I'm talking about over-inflated weather coverage. Are the media simply meeting consumer demand, or are they creating demand by unleashing their "Big Badass Super Duper Doppler Radars" on our unsuspecting psyches?
I think about this circular conundrum a lot during the winter, when snow actually counts as breaking news. "This just in - WHITE DEATH IS UPON US!"
Last week, we got another dose of news that shouldn't be news: "Live from the Big Badass Super Duper Doppler Radar weather center: It's freakin' HOT outside!"
Here's some breaking news from the editor of CiN Weekly: "It's July in Cincinnati. IT'S SUPPOSED TO BE HOT!"
OK. I feel better now.
A quick update: It all started with a "staff question of the week" about favorite beers. My open wondering about where you could get a BarrelHouse brew led to a response from the brewers themselves with a promise I could soon get my beloved RedLegg Ale at a location near me. Well, it's time to grab your bottle opener.
BarrelHouse has a distributor and is available in stores. The list includes Jungle Jim's; bigg's in Oakley, Anderson Township and West Chester Township; and Keller's IGA in Clifton.
I still miss going to the old brew pub and sipping my draft while listening to live music, but at least I can cry in my BarrelHouse beer.
Be Bold: CiN Weekly's Bold Fusion poll continues this week with a question about using Bootsy Collins and Peter Frampton as ambassadors to promote Cincinnati USA. In last week's question, 76 percent of the respondents said they are more confident about progress being made on the Banks development now that Reds owner Bob Castellini is involved.
