Special Guest Performance
I'm not a huge music expert ... I leave that to Kari and Tabari ... but I enjoy a good concert especially during nice weather, and the rain cleared up in time for perfect concert watching weather.
So we were getting ready to leave as the Counting Crows said good-bye, but their encore featured several guests: openers Augustana, the Goo Goo Dolls ... and Bronson Arroyo! He sang the final song and was featured on the Chilivision TV prominently (we were way back in the lawn). Kinda fun. Guess he had his busy day at the All-Star game yesterday. So for his day off he came to Riverbend to surprise the crowd! Anyway, thanks Bronson for coming and jamming with the bands. Much fun, and we hope to see you do that again!
And now a random question for all you concert goers out there on something I just don't get ... the trend of wearing super short skirts to concerts. Maybe I'm getting old, but there's no way you can sit on the ground in those things, and who wants to stand for 4+ hours? If you were one of those girls, why do you wear those skirts to Riverbend? Just wondering.

You bring up a good question, Katie. Concert fashion never seems to make much sense. But, if you're on the lawn at Riverbend, it's all about comfort. Save the short skirts for bar night or something.
Even at a cheeseball concert like that, you can find plenty of whores.
OMG! The Reds pitcher with long hair plays music! I had no idea!
Memo to all Cincinnati media: Please stop writing about Bronson's career as a "budding rock star." He is a two-bit, dime a dozen, cover band singer. It was a great "angle" the first week he was in town, but it got old after the 500th story.
Then he fits in perfectly with this town
