After 213 minutes, the Reds and Cubs finally finished walking people (17 total). Good news for the Hometown Stockings: they threw a much high percentage of strikes than the Northsiders. That's right, the glimmer of hope comes from Reds hurlers throwing 122 of their 188 pitches for strikes (64.9%). The Cubbies had only 105 of 193. See, the pitchers will be
fine.
Oh, and
Scott Hatteberg's batting average (.333) is the same as the official time of the game (3:33). Freaky, eh?
