Race update
CiN Editor Beryl Love turned in a good effort with a 55:21. Dear Doug crossed the finish line with time around 1:14ish. Sue Cook surpised the entire office and herself with great time of 1:14:10. Julie Hengehold walked the course and came in at a respectable 1:24:01.
As for the contest, our winner will be announced in next week's issue of CiN Weekly. Check the newstands on Wednesday for that and a photo of our group in cinscene.

Here is some of the story:
Dave and I ran together for the first part of the race, taking the first two miles at a blistering 7:00 per mile pace. The bridges kicked both of our butts and slowed us down a little bit.
Somwhere between mile 3 and 4, I passed Dave, but didn't realize it. At about mile 4.5, my shoelace came untied and I had to stop and lace up again. This gave Dave a chance to catch up with me.
By the time we on the backside of the Clay Wade Bailey Bridge, Dave saw me, put an "X" on my back and hunted me down on 3rd street. He passed me and again, I didn't even know it! Had I seen him, it would have been a horserace to the finish, but alas, I didn't and he "smoked" me :)
Anyway, it was fun and we were all happy with our performances. The others on the staff had great races and I'm pretty proud of them. Also, thanks to all those who voted and gave your comments with the contest. What fun. Look for more things like this in the future...
